Lobster Tails

  • 4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2  lobster tails
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1  lemon

Preparation Notes

For a fancy presentation cut a straight line down the tail using kitchen shearers. Pull the meat out of the tail and lay over the shell as shown in picture.


  1. Pour about 1 inch of water in the bottom of a large pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Add the salt and if you have a steamer insert, place inside the pot just above the water level.

  3. Place the lobster tails on the rack and cover the pot.

  4. Steam for 8-12 minutes until shells are bright red and meat will be opaque.

  5. Serve with melted butter and lemon wedges.
