Amount Per Serving:
15 minutes + marinating time
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 flank steak (1 1/2 pounds)
Whisk oil, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, pepper, and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves. Place meat in a shallow dish and pour marinade over. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
Preheat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Place steak in a skillet for 4 minutes, flip, and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Allow steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
